Time signatures
Dotted notes add half their value: a dotted half note = 2 + 1 = 3 beats. Tied notes sum their durations across barlines.
Key signatures
Sharps appear in the order F♯ C♯ G♯ D♯ A♯ E♯ B♯. Flats run the same order reversed: B♭ E♭ A♭ D♭ G♭ C♭ F♭.
Circle of fifths
Tap a key to see its signature.
All 15 major keys
Tip: for sharp keys, the last sharp is one half-step below the tonic. For flat keys (except F), the second-to-last flat names the key.
